Services

The ability to communicate with others is essential to human thriving and academic learning. Helping children grow their communication skills and their confidence as communicators, is my passion.

Call me for a free, 15 minute consultation if you have concerns about your child’s speech or language. This includes concerns about your child’s:

Speech — Some children have difficulties speaking clearly enough to be understood by others. Difficulty producing clear speech sounds can occur for a variety of reasons. Other children may struggle to get their words and thoughts out smoothly, commonly known as stuttering.

Language — Some children have difficulty communicating clearly using words and sentences. They may struggle to understand what others say and what they mean. Other children may have difficulty learning and using new vocabulary. Still others may struggle to organize what they say in a way that others can follow.

Literacy — Literacy is interacting with language in print. Some children struggle to acquire the underlying skills for reading and spelling. Others may have difficulty understanding what they read or with organizing and writing their ideas clearly. All literacy skills are rooted in oral language skills

Pragmatics (using language for social purposes)— Children may experience challenges navigating social interactions for a variety of reasons. When social cognition is a weakness, it can impact a broad range of activities from conversation and play to reading comprehension.

For any of these challenges, the following services are available:
